Happy Thinking Day to all of our sister Girl Scouts and Girl Guides around the world. We are Junior Troop 312 from Shelton, CT. To celebrate Thinking Day, we learned about the similarities and differences between Girl Scouting in the USA, and Guiding in Haiti. To all my sister Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world - Happy Thinking Day 2010!
Dandenong Valley Region Girl Guides in Victoria, Australia, spent Thinking Day learning about other countries around the world. We learnt about Haiti in particular, and our thoughts are with all the Guides and their families effected by the earthquake. Even the smallest Guide in our group (5 years old) could imagine how scared they would have been if they had experienced the earthquake themselves. Our older Guides could appreciate the difficulty faced by aid organisations in getting the aid delivered to the right places and to those in need.
I would also like to commend the Guides and Scouts of France and Mexico and others who have been so activly helping the Haitians. BRAVO!
Together we can make the world a better place.
With best wishes,
Bridget
